As many as 14 separate players, when interviewed on the field, each took the time before answering questions to say what was obviously a planned statement by them all:

This is the umpteenth team that has snubbed President Trump’s gracious invitation but really, who cares? Our President is far too busy formulating plans for the good of the nation during golf trips to take time out for a bunch of brainless jocks who throw a ball for a living.
