The biggest rock band in the world for the last 4 decades is Metallica. They’re known for being the stalwarts of heavy metal and hard rock, and they’ve never compromised anything when it comes to their sound. But they’ve always stayed away from letting fans know where they stand.
Until now. There’s been hints in their music and some big donations to military and police organizations. “Don’t Tread On Me”, one of their biggest hits, should have been a hint on where they stood. But now, the secret is out. They’re not playing the Hollywood game anymore
Lars, the drummer said “you know, everyone else can say how they feel, why not us? Trump 2024, baby!” at a recent show in California. Metallica has always been proudly American, especially Lars, and even country music fans, even dabbling in it themselves. Lars waved a giant American flag as he played, because he’s out of tune and time anyway.
Metallica fans are generally conservative anyway, blasting their music from their lifted diesel pick ups, flags waving and smoke billowing out of the tailpipes, because when you buy a $100,000 truck, why not destroy it immediately. Good financial sense there.
Every Metallica concert is a celebration of America. Big fat sweaty beer swilling Neanderthals acting like tough guys to impress the 300 lb hotties with the tattoos, meth pock marks and bellies reaching down from their I’ll fitting t shirts and spandex. Yes. Spandex. 1987 called, and they don’t want it back. Any of it.
Metallica is good friends with Jason Aldean and Kid Rock as well, sometimes bringing them on tour and having male bonding sessions while naked and drunk. It’s quite the scene. Even when Metallica are teaming up on some girl in the back of the tour bus after a show, they read her Bible passages as they pass her around. It’s beautiful.
So it’s not just country artists that you can pretend are all super conservative and love the same orange nitwit you do. Here’s a rock band that’s full of 60 year old men to make you feel like you’re reaching the kids with. God bless America.
