CMT is having a bad week. After trying to cancel Jason Aldean, several country music superstars have abandoned the country music network. And the deluge looks like it’s not going to stop. After Brantley Gilbert called out Jason Aldean’s critics, he pulled his videos from CMT.
These country music superstars are so incensed by their “ally”, CMT, buckling to the woke mainstream media and liberals that they have just had enough. And Brantley Gilbert is the latest to walk away.
“CMT is supposed to be our place, our music, our ideals, our beliefs” said up and coming country star Joe Barron, in his ten gallon hat and dressed as Minnie Pearl. “If we can’t use our first amendment right on a channel made for us, what’s the point of being there?”
Brantley Gilbert is just one of the latest defectors from Country Music Television. Hank Williams, Kid Rock, Jelly Roll, Proud Boys, the Georgia chapter of the Klan, the singing duo of kissing brother and sister Cletus and ClaraBell McHerpDerp have all walked away from the country music video giant.
Simplistic music and simplistic minds go hand in hand. Walmart and country music go like hot dogs and Mac and cheese. Sure you know nothing good will come of it but it makes you feel gross and gives you summer gut, when you feel like you need to be next to the bathroom.
What’s next for CMT? How many more country music superstars will flee the channel? How many could there possibly be? This reporter attempted to listen to country music and doesn’t understand why you like it so much. It’s the same really bad rhythms with keywords thrown in and everyone sounds like an idiot.
Is it surprising that you all went with the dog whistles and made this shitty song a part of your personality? Not at all. Just as long as it makes you feel some weird kind of pride for what someone else, who’s not even singing it, wrote for him. God bless Jason Aldean and God bless America.
