Most law enforcement officers are big country music fans. Because the majority of them, 99% of them are patriots. And country music by definition is patriotic. That’s why it doesn’t have a liberal fan base. Police officers make up a huge percentage of country music fans.

When Jason Aldean’s “Try That In A Small Town” was released, the first to take notice were the police around America in those small towns. They know these towns. They’re proud of these towns. They are their homes and their workplaces. And they took the country mega hit to heart. This was their song.

When the song was brought to the Fraternal Union of Police Associations, the head of the FUPA knew he Jason Aldean was including the brave men and women of law enforcement that keep these small towns safe. Captain Lassard, Chief of the association, is making it their anthem.

Police officer Joseph Barron couldn’t agree more. “This song means a lot to us. Go ahead, try it in our small town” he said, and off the record he said try being a person of color. Officer Spackler, a recent Police Academy graduate, shared his sentiments. “We are the police. Comply”. These are tough as nails cops!

Other police officers were excited for the news that Jason Aldean was coming to their Police Officer’s Balls which are held at the police hangout at the Blue Oyster conference center. Officers Hightower, Brooks, Tackleberry and their head officer Mahoney have Neek playing the song nonstop, practicing their dance moves with each other, awaiting Mr Aldean’s live performance.

Such a time will be bad at the Blue Oyster, dancing, singing, edging, new brutality techniques, teaching the best ways of dispatching a barking dog that means no harm, and new ways of trampling the rights of the citizens they’re charged with protecting.  It’ll be a gay old time.

With this as their new anthem, there’s no denying what we’ve always known about the police. Thank you Jason Aldean, for saying the quiet part out loud. God Bless America.
