Democrats always want to cut the budget to fill their own coffers. This time, Nancy Pelosi and her socialist pals want to cut Medicaid for seniors infected with a virus, saying they are a drain on the resources and will probably die anyway.
She went on to say the following:
“Look, we’re not Sweden, we can’t pay for everyone. We need to just cut our losses and move on. The elderly are expendable anyway, so why not start there? It seems like a logical thing to do. We have to save the economy somehow. Humans are here to serve the economy. It’s not the other way around. The invisible hand knows what is best for us.”
Many Democrats approved of the idea, including AOC, Schumer, Omar, Tlaib, and the other triggering ones. They say the move is needed to keep the nation afloat during the crisis.
The proposal was met with criticism from Republicans. Senator Joe Barron had these comments about the plan:
“This is insane! How can they be so cold-hearted? They would sacrifice their own grandma if it meant making a dollar. It’s not surprising though. It’s what we’ve come to expect from Democrats. We will fight this bill since it has no place in America. We take care of our people here.”
It’s good to see Republicans are fighting to defend healthcare for seniors. If Democrats have their way, we will all be thrown off our insurance and forced to fend for ourselves in a selfish market society.
