It’s not necessary to scroll too far through your Facebook feed these days to find proof of what every red-blooded patriot already knows: masks have been worthless in Florida. There are plenty of YouTube videos and social media MDs proving this to be true.

You know why those masks were useless? BECAUSE NOBODY F*CKING WORE ONE.

You know what would NOT have happened today if more Florida f*cktards had worn masks? My friend’s mom would not have died. She wouldn’t have died, alone, while my friend watched through a window.

What is so difficult about wearing a mask? No, it’s not particularly comfortable. You know what’s LESS comfortable? Being on a ventilator, for f*ck’s sake.

Do you know what’s also much less comfortable than wearing a mask? Watching your mom die without being able to hold her hand, comfort her, and keep her from dying alone.

When did this country go so far off the rails that a simple act like wearing a mask — which is scientifically proven to help reduce the spread of this damn virus — has turned into political theater? “Hey, look at me, I won’t wear a mask because I’m so full of freedom!” What the hell is the matter with people?

Rhetorical questions, yes. But seriously, when did caring about your neighbors and even random strangers whose orbit you pass through become such a lightning rod? When did our social contract get shredded to the point that trying to protect people from a potentially lethal disease by doing something as simple as wearing a piece of cloth across your nose and mouth has become an assault on your FREEDUMB?

Almost 400 years ago, John Donne wrote: “No man is an island entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main…any man’s death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind.”

What a libtard idea: we’re all in this together. Except, we’re not.
