Never before have we had an American President so determined to take criminals off our streets. With all the lawlessness that the country has seen in recent weeks, President Trump has had enough and is now taking all the steps that have been needed for decades to make us safe once again.
Trump is the law and order president, a title he bestowed upon himself because that’s how nicknames work. He has a mission and it is to finally, finally, FINALLY get tough on crime.
The President’s plan has many facets — one of which is expected to be announced this week. His initial move is said to be something that will seem obvious to everybody except for the Democrats. While Democrats want to release criminals from prison, the president is determined to put them all in.
Back in the 90s, Bill Clinton introduced the “Three Strikes Law.” What it said was that once a criminal was convicted of his third crime he was essentially sent to prison for life, unable to harm the public any longer. President Trump has seen how ineffective this is and has decided it is not harsh enough.
A source inside the White House spoke of President Trump‘s frustration with Clinton’s crime bill.
“Three strikes is two strikes too many as far as I’m concerned. We need to be rid of these hoodlums once and for all and quickly and right away and now. One strike. That’s all you get. If you commit a crime, any crime, you’re going away, punk. Society will never have to deal with you again.”
To some, this proposal may seem heavy-handed, but there is no doubt that it will be effective. Offenders will no longer be able to continue a life of crime indefinitely. There will be no more career criminals. And we will all sleep better at night.
