Just a day ago, 92-year old retiree, veteran, and great grandmother Sandra Batt thought it would be safe to resume her daily stroll through the Tenderloin section of San Francisco’s downtown area.  As she turned the corner and headed for Market street, she heard noises coming from around the corner, causing her beloved companion and 8-year old rat terrier Charlie to bristle tentatively.   Suddenly, a window broke, and before she even knew what was happening, the doors of the Forever 21 retail outlet burst open with dozens of screaming looters, arms full of clothing.  As they swept over her, she staggered, and when she gathered her wits back, Charlie was gone.

He may have been using Hillary Clinton’s secret emails as pee paper. Coincidence?

Batt had been living retired for some 30 years, after leaving her job butchering local rats and squirrels for needy neighborhood children.  She is one of the very few remaining veterans of World War I, proudly showing off medals and plaques on her wall dedicated to “A dynamite dame with a bra full of movie!” and “A skirt full of hurt for the Germans!”  Charlie had been a gift from her husband Clavenport, who sadly, died while the puppy was in childbirth in a complicated related tragedy.

Her house was a common call for police since she often drunkenly tied her husband up and placed him on the backs of local trolley cars.

San Francisco and bay area police departments have put out an APB as well as a statewide fuscia alert (the canine version of an amber alert) for the beloved big-eared animal, but so far no one has stepped forward.  Preliminary investigations do suspect the involvement of Antifa somehow, but authorities are also not ruling out the fact that several Korean Barbecue restaurants have recently reopened in the city post-pandemic.  Let’s all send our thoughts and prayers that Charlie will be found safe.
