Democrats in America always claim to be “for the little guy,” but their actions never show it. They prey on our most vulnerable citizens and only pay them lip service in order to win their votes.
Though they claim to be their champions, Democrats do nothing for minorities, constantly try to screw over seniors by taking away Social Security, and show disdain for the poor by trying to destroy Medicare and Medicaid over and over again.
Like some sort of sick joke, House Democrats today decided to screw over some of the most vulnerable people in our nation, single mothers, by taking away children’s health benefits. The effect of this on children and infants across America are potentially devastating.
California Representative, Bob Afett, who introduced the bill, defended the decision vigorously:
“These are tough economic times and we need to make tough decisions. Cutting health support to small children seemed to be a natural choice as they are useless to the immense rebuilding of our economy that will be coming soon. They can’t work, they don’t contribute, they don’t pay taxes. They are, in fact, simply a burden that America can’t afford right now.
We are completely comfortable with this decision and encourage expecting women to nip their coming problem in the bud, before they give birth. Nudge, nudge. Wink, wink. Know what I mean? Know what I mean?
Planned Parenthood clinics across the country will be open with extended hours for your convenience. Give them your support. They have indicated that they will temporarily attend to your problems up to the thirty-ninth trimester for the good of the country. Take advantage.”
Time and time again, Democrats like Joe Barron prove that they care not at all for the sanctity of the lives of American children. From abortions to ritual sacrifices, to this, the leftists in government essentially say that children’s lives are worthless.
