Conan, the brave German Shepard who was an integral part of the covert raid on the compound of Isis leader, Abu Baghdadi, was honored by President Trump at the White House yesterday. That much everybody knows. What few know is of the arrangement made during that meeting.

It’s been well publicized that Conan suffered some injuries as a result of that operation and that those injuries have sidelined him while he recuperates, unable to return to duty until he is 100%. Not released until now is the true extent of those wounds. It has been deemed by military veterinarians that the hero dog will be unable to return to duty due to his internal damage and will be retired with honor.

But something good came from this. President Trump’s response upon hearing this news will warm the hearts of all who hear. So impressed was our leader by the magnificent animal before him and so appreciative of his service to our country, that, without a moment’s hesitation, Trump offered to adopt the animal immediately upon his release from the military and welcome him to the Trump family.

Press guy, Joe Barron, released this statement about the occasion:

“Conan will be a welcome addition to the White House and will make a great companion and protector for young Barron.

President Trump has long wanted a dog in DC but was unwilling to take any ordinary one. Conan is far from ordinary and fits right in.”

Everyone send your regards to the President for giving Conan a loving home!
