The First Amendment is listed first in our Bill of Rights. That means it’s the most important, even more than the second. This sacred Amendment grants every American the right to say what they want, regardless of consequences from the government. That is why it is so horrible that a private company, Twitter, is trying to infringe on our free speech, going so far as censoring the President himself.
Today, Twitter announced they would be “fact-checking” our President’s tweets. This is a clear violation of his free speech. The government is not allowed to do this, so it is illegal. That is why Attorney General Barr is stepping in, launching a prosecutorial probe into Twitter for their Constitutional violations.
“We are launching an investigation into Twitter for their civil rights violations. No President in history has ever been so persecuted. He’s like Jesus up there on the cross. It’s so sad to see him treated this way. We will get him justice though. That is why we will be prosecuting all Twitter executives to the fullest extent of the law. These Constitutional violations are no laughing matter and they will be dealt with swiftly and seriously.”
This is great news. The Constitution protects free speech from control by the government. That is why you can say whatever you want at work with no bad consequences. That’s what makes America so great, being able to do what you want, when you want. Twitter wants to tread all over our Constitution though. It’s good that we finally have an Administration that will stand up to the evils of big corporations and evil social media companies.
