Attorney General Barr is cracking down on homegrown leftist terrorist group, Antifa, by hitting them where it hurts – the pocketbook. His strategy is not new. Financial “attacks” on other terror organizations, like Al-Qaeda and ISIS, have begun in similar fashion. The idea is simple – remove their funding and they will have no means to operate their terror machine. It’s a proven, effective method and will no doubt throw a wrench into the future heinous plans of the organization.
In addition, the Justice Department has issued a warrant for the capture and arrest of the organization’s Chief Financial Officer, Joseph Ilyich Barron, on charges of providing financial aid to terrorists. Barron’s whereabouts are currently unknown but FBI leaks have revealed that they are closing in on the notorious anarcho-sociofascist.
AG Barr provided a statement about his actions:
“Antifa equals anti-President Trump. They are a ruthless organization that are the cause of countless attacks on the good citizens of this nation. Every single day of the past 3 years there has been violence in the streets and the streets is where Antifa operates. The connection is clear.
We are going to take away their financial resources in order to stifle their ability to conduct their sophisticated attacks. Barron’s incarceration will assist in this matter, eliminating the funnelling route of all that Soros money.
We are making America safer with these actions.”
Barr is correct. The nation will be safer through this, but hopefully it is just a first step. There are bigger players in that gang and they need to be next.
