The ultra-liberal 9th Circuit Court has ruled that much of the Holy Bible, the Christians’ literal handbook for how to enter the kingdom of Heaven is hate speech. The court ruled on the scriptures the prohibit homosexuality and homosexual acts. They also found passages that could be considered racist and sexist as well, which determined that the book, which is considered to be the actual Word Of God, is hate speech.
Justice Sandra Batt was the final vote, stating that the Bible and “biblical principle,” at least the way modern Christians view it, is hate. Excusable hate. It’s almost like yelling FIRE in a crowded theatre.
“Reading through the passages, it’s almost like they’re designed to single out certain groups to hate.”
She pointed out the “Curse of the Ham” and the Bible’s excuses for slavery, and that, once again, modern Christians use the Bible to excuse their hate. Imagine if they actually followed that Jesus character they’re all nuts about!
Another example is the entire Old Testament. Leviticus especially, which briefly touches on gay people and shellfish. Yet another way people cherry-pick the Bible because you don’t see anyone protesting a Red Lobster like you do when two men or two women in a loving relationship decide to make the life long commitment of marriage to one another.
“When we see picketers at Joe’s Crab Shack, maybe we will believe it’s not all about their fear of what they don’t know and don’t like,” Ms. Batt said.
A lot of this stems from Christians using the Bible to confirm their love and worship of Donald Trump, says biblical scholar Joseph Barron.
“I mean, you literally can’t have two things this different and say they are the same!”
He is pointing out that many Christians obviously don’t believe the BS they spew when the man they love, Trump, is the exact opposite of anything Christ said in the Bible.
In either case, the liberal 9th circuit court has no say in what’s hate speech or what’s not. It’s all in the eye of the beholder, or in Ms. Batt’s case, the beer holder.
I don’t know who this ding-batt is, but she’s ignorant and just plain stupid. Obviously non-christian, so not qualified to critique the Bible.
This lady has no clue what the bible means to a lot of people. Once again a know nothing liberal twisting the word of god into a perverse book.
