Democrats have proved in recent years that they are insane. But none have been quite as insane as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the brain-genius behind the “Green New Deal” — a set of laws the Democrat Party plans to put into effect that would have us recycling our own urine and installing wind turbines on our homes. Her plan would also ban what she calls “nocturnal emissions.”
“It’s no secret that a lot of pollution happens at night,” Ocasio-Cortez said in a speech at a Starbucks in Maine on Thursday. “We need to wipe out these nocturnal emissions as soon as possible, for the health of mother earth.”
It’s unclear if she actually knows what “nocturnal emissions” actually references, but she kept going.
“Nocturnal emissions account for a massive percentage of the total pollution level,” she said, adding that it’s time to “clean up” these emissions. Her plan would limit all industrial activity between the hours of 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. in an attempt to reduce greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
“Nocturnal emission” more commonly references something else entirely.
“Together we can accomplish the dream of eliminating nocturnal emissions altogether,” she told the crowd, many of whom were laughing. “Because without nocturnal emissions, the world will be a much less messy place.”
It’s unclear if she ever got the joke — but Democrats are generally too stupid to realize they are being laughed at.
