The oppression of a tyrannical government is the reason the second amendment came to pass. The amendment stipulates that in order for the people to be able to stand up to and remove tyranny, they must have sufficient arms to do so. Traditionally, the definition of such arms has been restricted to guns as promoted by the National Rifle Association, but now a new group, the National Bomb Association headed by Michael Jordan, has stepped up wanting a broader definition to be installed.
The NBA wants the General public to be trained in the use of and be legally allowed to own bombs – grenades, Claymores, RPG’s, plastique, C4, even ICBM’s. Their logic is sound. These are all weapons in use by the armed forces under command of the federal government so, in order for a well regulated militia to be able to protect itself should government become deplorable, the people would need similar means, and the constitution guarantees that this right “shall not be infringed.”
What started as a grassroots movement in Montana has now grown to be nationwide, with over 20 million members. In every corner of the country members are demanding their rights. And it’s not just potential government attacks that they seek to defend them selves against. It’s terrorism too. Michael Jordan explains:
“We’ve all heard ‘The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is with a good guy with a gun.’ Well that applies to bombers too. We maintain that the only way to stop suicide bombers from ravaging America is to give everyone bombs. Law enforcement can’t be everywhere, nor can they thwart every possible attack, but there will be no terrorists blowing up any more buildings in the USA if the people can blow the terrorists up first.”
Jordan makes a compelling case for public ownership of weapons of mass destruction. Now that we have a president with a strong belief in 2A, it will be interesting to see how this plays out.
